2026:
March 12 – Judy Dry will be speaking about preparing your quilt for the longarmer. This will be incredibly helpful for anyone considering sending a quilt out for longarming.

April 9 – Please bring your cutting mat, rotary cutter, and Heart Bag patterns as we gather to make kits together. Last year, we were able to complete our bags early, and it was so encouraging to see everyone participate. I’m looking forward to another productive and fun evening.

May 14 – We’re excited to welcome Kenzie from Acid Lime! Acid Lime is a vibrant OKC sewing studio offering classes, guided sew days, and community sewing experiences for makers of all levels. We’ll get to hear about her business, her creative journey, and what she’s building in our local sewing community.

June 11 – Lori Goodbeary will be joining us. While the exact theme is still to be announced, Lori was a home skills educator for many years and even does her own machine maintenance — so I know we’ll learn something practical and valuable!

July 9 - Beverly Kirk, a master quilter and the founder of Oklahoma’s first African American quilting guild, Scissor Tales Guild, Kirk specializes in telling stories through bold, colorful narrative quilts

*Brown bag dinner meeting is where we each bring our own dinner and work on a sewing or craft project together. to visit and get to know other members.

When you bring stuff for the “free” table, at a regular meeting or a mini retreat, please remove all items that you brought at the end of the event.  Each person is responsible for their stuff they have brought. Any items that are thrown away must be put in the dumpster at the west end of the parking lot, not put in the trash cans inside the building.
